Privacy Policy — GeoGuess Challenge

GeoGuess Challenge ("we", "our", or "the app") is a geography trivia game where players take on challenges, identify countries by their flags, capitals, and borders, earn points, and compete on a global leaderboard. This Privacy Policy explains how we access, use, store, and share your information, including data obtained through Google Sign-In.
Information We Collect
Google account data (via Google Sign-In): When you choose to sign in with Google, we access your email address (used to create and identify your unique player account) and your basic profile information such as your name (used to set up your default explorer profile).
Information you provide: When you set up your player profile, you may provide a display name (nickname), country, city, an avatar emoji, and your self-reported geography skill level.
Gameplay data: We store the challenges you complete, your scores, points earned, and your daily streak in order to operate the leaderboard and track your progress.
How We Use Your Information
We use this information solely to create, identify, and secure your player account; display your profile and ranking on the leaderboard; track your scores, points, and streaks; and operate and improve the core functionality of the game. We do not use your Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.
How We Store and Protect Your Information
Your data is stored securely on the Base44 platform infrastructure, which hosts and runs this application. Access to your account data is restricted, and gameplay records are associated with your account so that only you can modify your own scores and profile.
How We Share Your Information
We do not share your Google user data with third parties, except: Public leaderboard display — your display name, avatar emoji, country, points, and streak are visible to other players (your email address is never publicly displayed); and Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties for purposes unrelated to providing or improving the app.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Upon request, we will delete your personal information and gameplay records.
Your Choices
You can stop using Google Sign-In at any time and request that we delete your account. You can also update your profile information from within the app.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how the app uses Google user data, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify users through the app interface.
